New service to identify providers of your partners

When dealing with the online renewal of inter-institutional agreements (IIAs) and learning agreements (LAs,) you have definitely wondered: what tool is my partner using. A new service developed by the EWP+ Consortium now unlocks this information.

You might be curious if your partner is already connected to EWP and what provider your partner is using. A newly developed service, the so called “EWP Stats Portal”, unlocks the information of who is using what tool/provider in a few clicks. Use the search functionality to find a partner by typing e.g. the name, erasmus code, city or country and you’ll see immediately what tool is in use at your partner in the column “EWP providers”.

Or you might be aware that data exchanges with a given provider are not yet working perfectly and if that’s the case you probably want to focus on exchanging IIAs & LAs with other providers where exchanges did prove successful.  If you are looking for a complete list of all clients using a given provider, you use the filters option for “EWP providers” typing (part of) the name of the provider using the “contains” option. It results in a complete list of HEIs that use the given provider. More filters are available.

The information in the EWP Stats Portal is coming directly from the only source of truth about EWP-connections: the EWP registry. The EWP registry retrieves this information from the so-called manifest files made available by each of the nodes in the EWP-network. The manifest files contain machine-readable information about the system in use, processes covered (in technical terms referred to as APIs) by each of the HEIs participating in EWP…  Those colleagues who are somewhat more technical oriented can also zoom into what versions of the API are supported by the partners. When clicking the EWP details you get the list of APIs and versions of the API supported by the HEI. To be able to interpret those figures you can find the latest version of the stable APIs indicated in green via https://developers.erasmuswithoutpaper.eu/

In the near future the EWP Stats Portal will be further enriched with data and statistics, eventually sharing data on how the different nodes in the network operate.
