AsCOLA is a European initiative, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme and aimed at enhancing the quality of Erasmus+ student mobility through a comprehensive course evaluation system. This project empowers international students to assess the courses they take abroad, enabling:
future mobility students to make informed decisions on the courses they will take while abroad;
Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to improve their offerings and better tailor their programs to the needs of mobile learners.
Through the AsCOLA evaluation platform (AsCOLA), the initiative ensures that students’ voices contribute to continuous improvements in the Erasmus+ experience. The platform benefits not only students but also faculty members and HEIs. Faculty members can access streamlined evaluations, while institutions receive valuable insights to monitor their educational performance and align their internationalisation policies with student feedback. AsCOLA is designed to support the mutual goals of quality assurance and academic excellence across Europe.
Key Components
The development of this new service has been based on 4 key components:
A specific evaluation methodology for courses attended by exchange students.
A student online evaluation tool directly linked to the Online Learning Agreement.
Integrated with the EWP Dashboard allowing Universities and IROs to access this data.
Comprehensive training materials designed to facilitate onboarding for both students and universities, ensuring effective use of the evaluation results.
Student Evaluation Tool and EWP Dashboard Integration
The student evaluation tool provides functionalities for exchange students with a finalized OLA to evaluate their attended courses with a single click. Additionally, the platform offers an “All evaluations” option, where past evaluations per subject are visible (subject to host institution approval). This feature enables prospective exchange students to make informed decisions when selecting mobility destinations.
A new Courses Evaluations section is integrated into the EWP Dashboard, providing access to the evaluation feature.
After selecting Course Evaluations, you will be able to view all evaluations submitted by incoming students for your institution's courses during their Erasmus+ mobilities.
By clicking on a course, you will be directed to the detailed view of the course evaluation, where you can see the following evaluation information:

Export Courses Evaluations in a PDF
At the bottom of the page in the signle view of a course evaluation, you will find an export button that allows you to download all evaluations for the specific course in a PDF format. This feature provides a convenient way to save, share, or print the evaluation data for further analysis or reporting.
The online course evaluation tool – why is it important?
This enhancement has the potential to improve how students choose their mobility destinations by providing information about the quality of academic experiences. At the same time, universities gain an additional tool to refine their academic offerings and achieve higher educational standards.
