There are different options to enable your students to access the services of the European Student Card Initiative using MyAcademicID. These services are using MyAcademicID to identify the students, using their European Student Identifier (ESI), uniquely and reliably. It also allows to control access based on the affiliation status at their higher education institution. There are different scenario's for enabling MyAcademicID:.

On the website of the selected National Research and Education Network check whether your higher education institution appears or not as a member. If your higher education institution is a member of the eduGAIN system, your IT team will be able to deploy and then allocate the EWP admin role role entitlement to dedicated staff member(s) at your higher education institution. If it's not clear or you are not able to confirm it, contact your National Research and Education Network and find out about the status of your higher education institution. If your institution is part of eduGAIN, liaise with your IT department to make sure that your university can support the deployment of the European Student Identifier in your local information systems and release the relevant student attributes through eduGAIN when students authenticate electronically:
